JOB SUMMARY:
Primary responsibility is for the production of SBF accounting related reports and associated data entry into the SBF software platforms for review by members of SBF Senior Management and Operations Team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Reporting



  • Preparation of preliminary Month End Financial Reporting for review by SBF Senior Management. Reports to include at minimum:


    • Balance Sheet and Profit/Loss Statement with variance comments
    • Client by Client Revenue Report
    • SOFR / Prime Rate tracking report
    • Factoring Purchases and Collection Comparison report
    • Participation Income Reports to SBF participation partners.


  • Assist in the preparation and integration of the Annual SBF Budget report template


Accounting



  • Preparation of Daily reconciliation and Journal Entries for review by SBF Cash Application Supervisor and Portfolio Manager. Required daily items include:


    • Initial preparation and download of bank account activity into the Collections/Cash Balancing report use by the SBF Cash Application team and end of day review by Cash Application Supervisor.
    • Preparation of Balance Sheet and Bank Account reconciliation report for review by Cash Application Supervisor.
    • Preparation of daily SBF journal entry for review by SBF Cash Supervisor / Portfolio Manager and entry into Seacoast Bank's accounting system upon required SBF approval.


  • Preparation of Month End Journal Entries and Accruals for review by SBF Financial Ops / Revenue Officer and entry into Seacoast Bank's accounting system upon required SBF approval.


Accounts Payable



  • Preparation of Month End Broker Commissions report for review by SBF Financial Ops / Revenue Officer and report distribution to individual brokers upon confirmation of payment by Seacoast Bank.
  • Preparation of Month End SBF Business Development Officer (BDO) Commission report for review by SBF Financial Ops / Revenue Officer and report distribution to individual BDO upon confirmation of SBF Sr. Management approval.
  • Entry of approved client expenses into SBF Factoring/ABL system upon confirmation of payment by Seacoast Bank.


SBF Operations Support



  • Preparation of preliminary Weekly Collections and Loan Report for review by SBF Portfolio Manager.
  • Preparation of preliminary weekly Participation report for review by SBF Portfolio Manager.


Bank Compliance



  • Assist SBF Senior Management Team with required annual compliance requests/audits as required.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:



  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university in Accounting/Finance preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required with experience in financial modeling and report creation a plus.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to industry specific software
  • 8+ years: Eight plus years' experience with Accounting functions within a financial services, investment banking or commercial services firm; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
