Your Job

Koch-Glitsch is seeking a Buyer to support the procurement of materials and services that enable safe, reliable, and profitable execution of our products and projects. In this role, you will partner closely with Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning, Project Management, and Suppliers to ensure the right materials are available at the right time while continuously improving value and supplier performance.

Our Team

You will be part of the Supply Chain organization supporting Koch-Glitsch operations in Wichita, KS. The team works cross functionally with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and commercial partners to support customer commitments and long term business success.

What You Will Do

* Source and procure raw materials (primarily stainless steel) to support production schedules and customer requirements

* Build and maintain strong supplier relationships focused on safety, quality, delivery, and total cost

* Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements aligned with business needs and market conditions

* Collaborate with internal partners to resolve supply issues and mitigate risk

* Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives

* Leverage ERP/MRP systems to manage purchase orders, deliveries, and data integrity

* Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and create additional value

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to meet project or company objectives

* Ability to analyze data, prioritize work, and make sound business decisions

* Experience in roles requiring crossfunctional collaboration, datadriven decisionmaking, or accountability for cost, quality, or delivery outcomes

* Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field

* Experience in procurement, buying, sourcing, or supply chain within a manufacturing or industrial environment

* Experience with metal commodities or fabricated industrial equipment

* Experience negotiating contracts or supplier agreements

* Experience using ERP or MRP systems

* Familiarity with continuous improvement or value creation initiatives
