Job Title: Quality Inspector
Location: Orchard Park, NY
Employment Type: Contract to Direct
Industry: Medical Equipment Manufacturing
Schedule: Both 1st & 3rd shifts available! 1st shift - M-F 7:00AM-3:00PM & 3rd shift - Sun-Fri 11:00PM-7:00AM
Compensation: Up to $26/hr. **Based on experience (+ 15% shift differential for 3rd shift)
About the Opportunity:
  • Perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections on parts and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, product traceability, and non-conforming material controls.

What You'll Do:
  • Conduct inspections, measurements, and testing of incoming materials, production components, and finished products using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
  • Record inspection and test results, communicate discrepancies, and support corrective and preventive action activities.
  • Perform dimensional inspections using gages, dies, microscopes, micrometers, and related inspection systems.
  • Participate in internal quality audits, environmental monitoring, and statistical process control activities.
  • Support compliance with ISO 13485, FDA Quality System Regulations, safety procedures, and internal quality standards.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of quality inspection experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in interpreting technical drawings & specifications.
  • 2+ years of experience in operating a computer and Microsoft Office software applications.
What Sets You Apart:
  • Prior medical device, aerospace, automotive or regulated Manufacturing environment.
  • Certificate(s) of training related to this field of work (medical device industry or quality assurance).
  • Proficient in the use of measuring and test equipment.
  • Demonstrate ability to check dimensions, surface relationships, finish material defects, and mechanical strength of product following appropriate training.
Additional Information:
  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.
  • Using personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, goggles, gloves, and other equipment as established in company policies and safe work procedures.
  • Working near cutting & machining fluids, solvents, lubricants, and other hazardous chemicals using appropriate safety controls.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent carrying, bending, standing, sitting, and repetitive motion.
