Job Summary

The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing and verifying visual, dimensional, electrical, mechanical, environmental, and chemical inspections related to source, first article, receiving, in-process, final, and test operations. This role ensures products and processes meet established quality standards through the use of technical drawings, inspection procedures, and precision measuring equipment. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing quality inspection environments, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with aerospace quality standards and documentation processes.

Job Responsibilities



  • Perform visual, dimensional, electrical, mechanical, environmental, and chemical inspections of products and components.
  • Conduct source, first article, receiving, in-process, final, and test inspections in accordance with company and customer requirements.
  • Review and approve inspection and test data for accuracy and compliance.
  • Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and procedures.
  • Use precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and related inspection equipment.
  • Maintain inspection and quality records in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
  • Support corrective and preventive action activities by documenting findings and assisting with investigations.
  • Interface with customer and government source inspection personnel as needed.
  • Support and follow Quality Management System requirements and company safety procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational and quality objectives.
  • Work overtime and travel as required to meet business needs.


Job Requirements



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three to five years of manufacturing experience required.
  • Three to five years of quality inspection experience required.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Basic mathematical skills including four-function math and SPC data collection.
  • Familiarity with AS9102 standards and creation of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 Quality System standards preferred.
  • Understanding of general safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, HAZ-MAT awareness, and foreign object awareness.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a manufacturing environment.
  • Must not be color blind or have non-correctable vision impairment.


Additional Job Details (Commute, Attendance, etc.)



  • Position requires routine manual dexterity, walking, standing, sitting, typing, bending at the neck, climbing, and lifting up to 20 pounds as needed.
  • Work environment includes extensive sitting, fine hand manipulation, bending at the neck, and frequent movement throughout the facility.
  • Overtime and travel may be required based on operational needs.
