Enterprise Wireless Network Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Enterprise Wireless Network Engineer for a contract position with a Major Financial Institution located in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

This role leverages deep technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build, and maintain enterprise technology solutions, with a focus on large-scale wireless networks. The successful candidate will provide support for enterprise engineering teams, full stack engineers, and clients, ensuring the implementation of best practices to support business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build, and maintain enterprise technology solutions
• Provide support for enterprise engineering teams, full stack engineers, and clients
• Support the implementation of enterprise engineering strategies and best practices to support business objectives
• Provide guidance to engineers across the organization regarding the development of software components and hardware
• Work to develop relationships with stakeholders and appropriately address all applicable client requirements
• Provide advice and resolve problems and issues involved in enterprise engineering activities

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise wireless networks
• Deep understanding of 802.11 standards, RF principles, roaming behavior, and wireless security
• Experience designing and supporting internet offload and guest Wi Fi architectures in large enterprise environments
• Experience operating wireless networks at enterprise scale (hundreds to thousands of access points and locations)
• Experience working within Agile or iterative delivery models for enterprise network initiatives
• Proven expertise with Aruba ClearPass, including 802.1X, BYOD workflows, guest access, device profiling, and TACACS/RADIUS
• Strong hands on experience with Aruba wireless platforms, including access points, controllers, and Aruba Central

Desired skills:

• Experience in financial services or other highly regulated enterprise environments
• Experience supporting large branch, campus, or retail wireless deployments
• Exposure to Agile networking or NetOps operating models, including collaboration with automation and platform engineering teams
• Familiarity with Network as Code / Infrastructure as Code concepts as applied to enterprise networking (e.g., automation friendly design, configuration standardization, API driven platforms)
• Familiarity with wireless assurance and observability tools
• Scripting or automation exposure (e.g., Python, REST APIs) related to network operations

Pay range: $46.72 - $54.72 per hour
