Gas Operations Lead
Location: Rockledge, FL

Your role in our success:

Gas Operations Lead is responsible for coaching, training, and developing field operations personnel to meet customer commitments and quality expectations. Serves as a subject matter expert supporting the maintenance and service of the natural gas system, including overseeing pipeline activities (above and below ground), coordinating emergency response, and supporting meter reading and pressure functions.

What you'll be doing:



  • Instruct and assess distribution and service pipeline maintenance (above and below ground).
  • Support leak survey activities and meter reading functions.
  • Respond to and coordinate repairs for gas emergencies; participate in 24-hour on-call rotation.
  • Ensure safety of the public, employees, and property within the service area.
  • Coordinate field projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and materials management.
  • Coach and guide employees to achieve performance objectives in partnership with the Operations Supervisor.
  • Review work requests related to load additions and meter rerouting.
  • Oversee compliance training (OQ, OSHA, PSC, DOT, and company policies).
  • Conduct crew safety audits and investigations related to incidents (MVAs, OJIs).
  • Perform pre-site inspections and support field work as needed.


Who you are:



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in natural gas operations.
  • Valid Driver's License (CDL preferred).
  • Operator Qualification (OQ) certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of PHMSA codes, NFPA 54, and gas pipeline construction.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and leadership skills.
  • Ability to perform gas pipeline and meter maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to train and develop technical personnel.
