Join a High-Performance Team Where Accuracy, Trust, and Professionalism Matter

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting & Compliance Coordinator to join a fast-paced and collaborative finance team supporting a multi-state business operation. This role is ideal for a polished accounting professional who thrives in an environment where financial accuracy, discretion, and operational excellence are essential.

You'll play a critical role in keeping financial processes running smoothly while helping maintain the organization's regulatory and compliance standing across multiple jurisdictions. This is more than a traditional accounts payable role - it is an opportunity to become a trusted contributor working alongside executive leadership in a stable, growth-focused company environment.

If you enjoy solving problems, improving processes, managing priorities independently, and working with leadership teams that value accountability and professionalism, this could be an excellent next step in your career.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Financial Operations & Accounts Payable
  • Support and oversee day-to-day accounts payable operations, including coordination with offshore support teams
  • Manage AP processes such as check runs, ACH/wire payments, vendor setup, 1099 reporting, and payment troubleshooting
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies quickly and accurately
  • Support employee expense reporting and reimbursement processes
  • Assist with payroll administration and related financial support tasks
  • Compliance & Corporate Administration
  • Track and manage Certificates of Insurance (COIs)
  • Coordinate property tax appraisals, business renditions, and related filings
  • Help maintain state licensing and regulatory compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions
  • Organize and maintain sensitive legal and financial documentation with a high level of confidentiality
  • Cross-Functional Support
  • Serve as a professional point of contact for internal teams, senior leadership, and external partners
  • Communicate clearly and effectively regarding payment status, compliance items, and financial documentation
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Support additional accounting and administrative projects as needed

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes and financial reconciliations
  • Experience handling confidential financial and personnel information with discretion
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently
  • Professional communication skills and executive-level presence
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a plus
  • Exposure to regulatory licensing or corporate compliance processes is highly preferred

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • High-visibility role with direct interaction alongside executive leadership
  • Diverse responsibilities that blend accounting, operations, and compliance
  • Stable, professional office environment with long-term growth potential
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on financial and operational processes
  • Collaborative culture that values accountability, reliability, and initiative
