Talent Development Specialist Experience Level: Intermediate Location: Herndon Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview The Talent Development Specialist designs, delivers, and supports collaborative, participantcentered learning solutions that strengthen employee performance and drive organizational change. This role partners closely with leaders, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to assess capability needs, identify skill gaps, and prioritize development initiatives. Using a blend of structured training, coaching and peer learning, and onthejob development, the Talent Development Specialist creates impactful learning experiences aligned with adult learning principles and instructional design best practices. The role also develops comprehensive training plans outlining scope, risks, dependencies, and proposed learning solutions using resultsbased analysis. Key Responsibilities * Design and deliver engaging, participantcentered learning programs that support organizational goals. * Partner with leaders, stakeholders, and SMEs to assess current and future capability needs. * Identify knowledge and skill gaps and recommend appropriate learning solutions. * Develop structured courses, programs, and training materials using instructional design models and adult learning practices. * Support coaching, networking, and experiential learning opportunities to reinforce development. * Create training plans outlining scope, risks, dependencies, and critical needs. * Evaluate learning effectiveness and recommend improvements. * Maintain strong collaboration across teams to ensure alignment with change initiatives. Top Skills * Training Development Additional Skills & Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Education, HR, Talent Development, or related field - or equivalent experience. * Minimum 3 years of progressive training experience, preferably within a financial institution. * Familiarity with talent development theories, processes, and models. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. * Ability to facilitate engaging training sessions and presentations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Herndon, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.87 - $40.87/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
