*Overview* We are seeking a Tier 1 Desktop Support Technician to provide frontline technical support for end users in a Windows-based environment. This role will focus on basic troubleshooting, device setup, and leveraging SCCM for endpoint management and deployments. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within IT support.
*Key Responsibilities* * Provide Tier 1 support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals in a Windows environment * Troubleshoot Windows OS issues including login errors, application issues, and system performance * Utilize SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) for software deployments, imaging, patching, and basic endpoint management * Install, configure, and deploy new hardware and standard software packages * Handle user account support tasks such as password resets, account unlocks, and basic permissions * Support Office 365 and other standard enterprise applications * Log, track, and update tickets in the IT service management system * Deliver support via phone, remote tools, and in-person interactions * Escalate complex issues to Tier 2/3 support teams as needed * Maintain accurate documentation of processes and solutions *Qualifications* * 0-2 years of desktop support or IT help desk experience * Basic hands-on experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments * Exposure to SCCM for imaging, deployments, or patch management preferred * Familiarity with Active Directory and Office 365 is a plus * Experience with an IT ticketing system (ServiceNow or similar) preferred *Skills & Competencies* * Strong customer service and communication skills * Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues efficiently * Willingness to learn and grow within endpoint management tools like SCCM * Strong organizational and time management skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset *Preferred* * Associate's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience * Entry-level certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft fundamentals) * Exposure to enterprise environments and standardized deployment processes *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract position based out of Dayton, OH. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
