Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Fidessa Developer for a hybrid position (3 days onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is for an experienced Fidessa developer in the Equities Cash Technology organization. The group supports institutional and retail equities trading desks and is responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting multiple production trading applications built on the Fidessa trading platform. A successful candidate needs to have prior hands-on Fidessa implementation experience, in-depth knowledge of the Fidessa architecture, frameworks, and products, and a proven track record performing product upgrades with complex onsite customizations.

Responsibilities:

• Support multiple Fidessa trading systems
• Integrate Fidessa systems into our client's technology stack
• Upgrade product components on a regular basis to keep up with the latest updates
• Work with Client/PM and other developers to satisfy business and regulatory requirements
• Onboard the systems to DevOps CI/CD tools

Requirements:

• 3+ years of Fidessa server-side development experience
• Fidessa Product Suite: CASE, FBL, TOP (OMAR, TMAR, PMAC), PAIRS, NMS, FIX+, APAS, FDA
• FIX protocol
• TCL, Unix shell scripting
• Platforms: Linux, Windows 10
• Agile SDLC
• Front Office Development experience
• Understanding of equities trading workflows and general equities market knowledge
• Excellent analytical, design, and system integration skills
• Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects in parallel
• Takes ownership, pro-active individual with a strong interest to learn the business
• Enthusiastic towards completing a task
• Candidate should be able to work with little supervision
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline

Desired skills:

• 3+ years of core Java development experience
• Hands-on FDA and Sybase experience
• FTW development a strong plus

Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
