General Job Description Job Summary IES Residential is seeking an experienced and motivated Plumbing Supervisor to oversee residential plumbing operations across multiple new construction job sites in the San Antonio, Texas area. This leadership role is responsible for managing field crews, ensuring quality plumbing installations, maintaining project schedules, and enforcing safety and code compliance standards. The ideal candidate has a strong background in residential plumbing construction, experience leading teams, and a solid understanding of Texas plumbing codes and inspection requirements. This position requires excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple active job sites simultaneously. Key Responsibilities Supervise day-to-day plumbing operations for residential new construction projects throughout the San Antonio area. Lead and coordinate plumbing crews by monitoring attendance, productivity, workmanship quality, and overall job progress. Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and construction specifications to ensure accurate plumbing layouts and installations. Ensure all plumbing systems comply with Texas state and local plumbing codes, safety standards, and project specifications. Coordinate with project managers, builders, site superintendents, inspectors, and subcontractors to maintain construction schedules and workflow. Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, and support to field personnel. Manage material ordering, deliveries, and inventory to minimize delays and maintain efficiency across job sites. Conduct quality assurance inspections to ensure timely and accurate completion of work. Promote and enforce OSHA and IES safety standards through jobsite audits, safety meetings, and ongoing crew accountability. Mentor and train apprentices and journeymen to support skill development and licensing advancement. Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, work progress, and incidents using mobile apps and reporting tools. Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 4-6 Specific Qualifications Qualifications Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 5 years of residential plumbing experience. At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong knowledge of rough-in, top-out, and finish plumbing for single-family and/or multi-family residential construction. Familiarity with Texas plumbing codes, permitting, and inspection processes. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple crews and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable using mobile apps, email, and scheduling/reporting software. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus. Preferred Qualifications Texas Journeyman or Master Plumber License preferred. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification preferred. Experience managing multiple subdivisions or job sites simultaneously. Physical Requirements & Work Environment This position operates primarily on active residential construction sites throughout San Antonio and surrounding areas and requires frequent travel between job sites. Candidates must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Work may include navigating uneven terrain, working in crawlspaces, attics, elevated areas, and other confined spaces. Employees must be comfortable working outdoors in varying Texas weather conditions, including heat, humidity, cold, and rain, while following all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
