The newly formed Global Aquaphor Accelerator team is on a bold mission to fully unleash Aquaphor, our second-largest derma brand, elevating it into one powerful global brand. This is a unique opportunity to help fuel continued growth in the US while transforming a trusted American icon into a globally recognized success story and expanding into exciting new categories. With strong ambition, entrepreneurial energy, and a clear drive to win, we are building a team of forward-thinkers who are ready to shape the future of derma skincare on a global scale and make a visible, lasting impact.

Location: Stamford, CT USA (hybrid, three days in office)

Reports to: Global Head of Aquaphor

Direct Reports: 4 (2 Global Brand Managers, 1 Global Content & Communications Manager, 1 Marketing Coordinator)

Objective

Lead the Global Aquaphor Accelerator Marketing Team to scale Aquaphor from a US-dominant brand into a globally powerful cross-category dermo-cosmetic brand. Drive global brand strategy, Innovation pipeline and portfolio expansion, international growth as well as communication strategy and development with a major focus on US as key market.

Your Tasks

1. Global Brand & Growth Strategy



  • Define and drive the mid- and long-term global Aquaphor brand strategy aligned to the 2030 growth ambition
  • Develop the long-term 2030 portfolio vision that scales Aquaphor's impact and sets the trajectory for global leadership
  • Craft an ambitious global expansion roadmap, unlocking opportunities across new and legacy categories
  • Build a clear global positioning rooted in US heritage while enabling international relevance and regulatory fit (cosmetics vs OTC)
  • Identify global white spaces for expansion across categories and geographies



2. Portfolio & Innovation Leadership



  • Oversee global portfolio strategy across legacy and new categories
  • Ensure clear prioritization between core business growth (US) and global expansion projects
  • Steer global innovation pipeline in close collaboration with R&D, Supply Chain, Medical and other HQ functions
  • Together with Senior Medical Manager, present projects in Pre-IIM meetings and senior forums (i.e. Aquasquad, Regular JFs with Derma President and/or US Derma Lead Team), championing bold ideas and clear strategic direction



3. Communication & Brand Equity



  • Define the global strategic brand positioning and brand equity vision
  • Lead global campaign development
  • Lead global best-practice launch support creation and best-in-class communication packages across channels (campaign, website, social media) on global scale OTIF
  • Create best in class social media strategy and brand advocacy concepts
  • Steer lead agency on strategic level
  • US-Global Integration
  • Ensure strong partnership with North America marketing
  • Drive alignment between global strategy and US execution
  • Act as senior interface between US organization and Hamburg HQ



4. Team & x-functional Leadership



  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing global marketing team located in US and HQ
  • Foster entrepreneurial, agile and performance-driven culture
  • Infuse and inspire team with new ideas, a strategic vision and best-practice cases
  • Build cross-functional alignment on vision across Marketing, Medical, CMI, R&D (Formula, Claim Strategy & PackDev), Finance, Supply Chain and with US Derma Lead team
  • Ensure consistent messaging and visual execution across all brand touchpoints



6. Performance & Governance



  • Own and monitor global marketing budget
  • Define and monitor brand health and financial KPIs in close collaboration with CMI
  • Provide regular clear brand, market & competitor reporting in close collaboration with CMI

Your Profile

  • University degree in Business, Marketing or Life Sciences
  • 10+ years experience in global marketing and brand building
  • Strong US market expertise required and ideally some experience outside US market
  • Expertise in dermatological skincare is a plus
  • Proven track record in end-to-end innovation and communication development
  • Experienced leader ideally with expertise in managing or collaborating with hybrid/global teams
  • Strong strategic thinking and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Ability to operate in matrix and cross-cultural environment
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid team set-up (HH HQ and US) across time zones and managing stakeholders across regions with agility and empathy
  • Strong communication, presentation and visual/verbal storytelling skills bringing a vision to life
  • Very strong eye for details and excellence in execution
  • Fluent in English
