Full-Time | On-Site

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an Exciting Potential Opportunity for a Medical Support Assistant to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH) at the renowned NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

Every appointment you schedule, every patient you assist, and every record you manage directly supports the clinical research mission of America's premier research hospital.

Position Overview

The NIH Clinical Center is the nation's largest hospital devoted entirely to clinical research. As a Medical Support Assistant supporting the Nursing Department, you will deliver dependable administrative and patient support in a fastpaced, highacuity research environment.

You will interact directly with patients, families, nurses, physicians, and clinical staff, helping to ensure clinical workflows run smoothly and patients receive coordinated, compassionate care. This is a longterm, fulltime position requiring prior healthcare experience.

    Patient Scheduling & Visit Management
  • Admissions & Registration Support
  • Reception & Administrative Operations
  • Clinical & Patient Travel Support

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting with direct, inperson patient contact
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to quickly learn clinical systems
  • Effective written and verbal communication in English
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Important: The Government does not provide training for candidates without healthcare experience. Prior healthcare experience is a strict requirement for this position.
