General Job Description Position Summary The Construction Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing electrical construction projects from project setup through close-out. This role includes reviewing plans and purchase orders, coordinating materials and equipment, maintaining project documentation, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced construction environment. Responsibilities Set up and manage projects within company systems Review builder plans and purchase orders for accuracy and scope alignment Coordinate plan revisions, options, and non-standard changes Work with purchasing teams to procure materials and equipment Maintain project documentation from permitting through close-out Coordinate schedules and project milestones with division teams Communicate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to support project success Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 4-6 Specific Qualifications Qualifications Experience in electrical construction or a related construction management role Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to read and review construction plans and specifications Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Knowledge of electrical industry standards and construction processes preferred Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds Ability to travel to job sites as needed and navigate active construction environments Work Environment Combination of office and construction site environments Exposure to typical construction site conditions, including noise, dust, and varying weather conditions Fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and priorities License Required Yes Job Locations US-OH-Cincinnati Company Overview IES is a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services to a variety of end markets, including electrical, mechanical and communications contracting solutions for the commercial, industrial, residential and renewable energy markets.
