Pantheon Data was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Position Overview

Pantheon Data is seeking an SME Business and Financial Operations Specialist to help on both our financial processes and our business development efforts. Candidate must be expert level in use of Excel and have familiarity with government contracting. Candidate must have experience building pricing proposals for federal government RFPs. This includes conducting salary data research, and an understanding of different contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost Plus).

Responsibilities



  • The financial analyst is responsible for the analysis of project revenues, bid models and proposals, costs, gross margins, and other financial data by collecting, monitoring, and evaluating data and reporting findings to senior leaders
  • An individual will also have financial research and reporting responsibilities including preparing reports and presentations
  • Refine and maintain customer bid model(s) to calculate estimated profitability for planned services
  • Monitor and report on variances between estimated and actual revenue and profitability for each customer
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process by gathering and reviewing data
  • Track and analyze data on successful and unsuccessful bids to help inform future pricing decisions
  • Review monthly financial statements to identify potential issues
  • Assist with a variety of ad hoc financial analysis projects
  • Ability to support multiple stakeholders throughout the organization and manage shifting priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively at all internal organizational levels
  • Demonstrated professionalism, judgment, and discretion in working with sensitive information


Required Skills and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study (finance, accounting)
  • Two years of experience developing cost pricing models for government contracts
  • Monthly financial reporting
  • Expertise in procurement planning/forecasting
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.


Preferred Skills and Experience



  • Experience developing and implementing innovative procurement process improvements to enhance operational performance
  • Assist with development and implementation of standardized acquisition and procurement templates and briefings, SOPs, best practices and training initiatives for program personnel


Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.

Work Location: Hybrid at USCG HQ in Washington, D.C.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
