TECHNICAL SKILLS

Must Have


The ideal candidate will be an experienced electromechanical designer familiar with drawing/modeling/engineering specifications related to process and documentation. Seeking an individual with demonstrated knowledge and ability in packaging (specifically sheet metal PCB and electromechanical components), proficiency in the use of Creo software and Windchill Data Management. The candidate is to have the ability to handle many tasks simultaneously, work effectively both in a team environment and independently; and demonstrate ability to respond to customer requests in a timely and efficient manner.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is an onsite role.

1st shift - 8 AM to 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)

Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Designer/Drafter is to create and modify drawings, models, parts, and assemblies using Creo software. This role supports Service Engineering's Design Services group and requires a high level of technical proficiency and attention to detail.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of design and drafting for components, assemblies, and packaging solutions within the Creo environment. In addition, the individual will utilize the Windchill Data Management System to manage, track, promote, and report on the progress of assignments to departmental leadership. In accordance with company policy, all new drawings must be completed using Creo and managed within the Windchill system.

Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and revise detailed drawings, models, and assemblies using Creo
  • Support design activities for components, assemblies, and packaging solutions
  • Utilize Windchill to manage document control and workflow processes
  • Track, update, and communicate project status to management
  • Ensure all work complies with company standards and policies

Required Skills



  • Strong creativity, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficient in interpreting and producing technical drawings
  • Basic knowledge of machines, tools, and their applications
  • Understanding of engineering principles and their practical application

Education and Experience



  • High school diploma with technical school training, or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated career progression from Drafter to Designer
  • Associate degree in Engineering or equivalent training preferred
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience required
