Location: Newport News, Virginia (Joint Base Langley-Eustis)

Type: Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Full-time, Day

Compensation: $32.04/hour

Tessera is seeking an intelligent and groundbreaking Supply Technician with a professional attitude. The Supply Technician performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging and property utilization) related to depot, local or other supply activities.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide Property Book support services to: organizations assigned to Futures and Concept Center.

  • Responsible for all aspects of property accountability of equipment stored, issued, turned-in and lateral transferred to and from the FCC.

  • Operate the WASP Barcode Technology system for property accountability.

  • Assist with property accountability.

  • Assist the warehouse section with property management.

  • Assist with scheduled inventories.

  • Process DA Forms 3161 and 2765 for all issues and turn ins from supported customers.

  • Process lateral transfers.

  • Maintain formal property accountability IAW AR 710-1 and AR 735-5.

  • Review all WASP transactions for accuracy.

  • Monitor daily transactions and verifies abstractor input for accuracy.

  • Process equipment found on post.

  • Provide technical assistance in matters relating to requisition, storage and disposal of supplies and equipment.

  • Provides monthly workload data.

  • Process DA Form 2765 for turn ins to SSA.

Qualifications:

  • Have a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.

  • Understand the needs of the organization serviced.

  • Have the analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.

  • WASP Barcode Training

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

  • A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance/Access including a common access card (CAC).
