Your Role

The Engineering Operations Manager supports engineering leadership by transforming data into actionable insights, driving visibility through dashboards and reporting, and proactively managing crossfunctional initiatives. This role blends data analytics, issue management, and program execution to ensure engineering teams remain focused, informed, and aligned with strategic goals.

What You Will Do

Data & Analytics

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports that provide realtime visibility into engineering performance, quality, delivery, and operational health
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Translate ambiguous problems into structured analyses and clear recommendations for leadership
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and relevance across engineering metrics

Issue & Performance Management

  • Proactively identify emerging issues, risks, and dependencies across engineering initiatives
  • Track and manage action items, escalation paths, and followups to resolution
  • Create structured approaches to problem solving, rootcause analysis, and continuous improvement

Program & Execution Support

  • Support engineering leaders in planning, prioritization, and execution of key initiatives
  • Coordinate across engineering, product, quality, and operations to keep work on track
  • Establish lightweight processes, documentation, and operating mechanisms that improve execution without adding unnecessary overhead

Leadership & Communication

  • Serve as a trusted partner to engineering leadership, providing concise, datadriven insights
  • Prepare executivelevel summaries, presentations, and readouts
  • Act as a connector between teams, ensuring alignment and clarity of priorities

  • Engineering leadership has clear, trusted visibility into performance and risks
  • Issues are identified early and managed proactively
  • Data drives discussions and decisions rather than anecdotes
  • Engineering teams are better aligned, more predictable, and more effective

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Strong analytical skills with experience working with complex datasets
  • Proven ability to build and manage dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar)
  • Experience in project or program management within a technical or engineering environment
  • Excellent problemsolving skills with a bias toward action
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay ahead of issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience supporting engineering or R&D organizations
  • Familiarity with engineering metrics (delivery, quality, capacity, efficiency)
  • Experience working in crossfunctional or matrixed organizations
  • Background in continuous improvement, operations, or process optimization
