Job Description:

AMA is currently seeking a candidate to provide Office Information Technology Management (OITM) Coordinator support at the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The OITM Coordinator function provides support to the organization with maintaining visibility and insight into the organization's current IT inventory, coordinating IT service requests and IT service/product purchases, and assisting the Office of Chief Information Officer (OCIO) in preparing and maintaining up-to-date records regarding IT acquisitions. The OITM Coordinator interfaces with OCIO management and personnel. The Contractor shall provide these services based on the needs of the programs, projects, and organizations.

This requirement is also in support of the Centennial Challenges Program Office. MSFC manages NASA's Centennial Challenges Program, which fosters innovation through competition, offering incentive prizes to generate revolutionary solutions to problems of interest to NASA and the nation. Centennial Challenges seeks innovations from diverse and non-traditional sources. An OITM Coordinator is considered the go-to person when project support is needed, serving as an integral team member and resource.

The salary for this position is $64,000-$70,000 commensurate with education and experience.

Responsibilities:

The OITM Coordinator shall provide general project coordination support during challenges formulation, execution, and award ceremonies. The OITM Coordinator shall also maintain the Centennial Challenges Program Office SharePoint site. The OITM Coordinator shall provide a top-level schedule support for major program milestones.

TheOITM coordinator will:

  • Serve as the OITM Coordinator while maintaining knowledge of NASA's Information Technology (IT) policies and procedures.

  • Serve as the liaison to the MSFC Office of Chief Information Officer (OCIO)

  • Provide coordination, tracking, and reporting of all IT assets and tools in support of programs, projects, and organizations.

  • Provide coordination and integration support for website administration including, but not limited to: loading data; developing logical data storage; retrieving and archiving data; and assisting office personnel with access to data.

  • Provide guidance and support in identifying IT assets and MSFC provided tools required for the organization.

  • Integrate and coordinate IT policy and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across programs, projects, and organizations.

  • Provide support to the Computer Security Officer (CSO), who is responsible for IT Security policies for the Center.

  • Identify areas for improved efficiency in the areas of IT management, database management, and website administration and propose processes and products that will lead to the desired outcome.

  • Provide excellent communication and coordination capabilities with internal and external stakeholders

  • Research and gather data, manage storage of team records and documentation, and distribute information to appropriate audiences

  • Conduct presentation and data package development and integration to include project plans, milestone reports, and project quarterly/monthly/weekly reports

  • Provide meeting support to include scheduling, logistics, setup, integration of presentation materials, and real-time meeting support

  • Track data to include action items, safety metrics, and data package deliverables, as well as project resources and acquisitions

  • Provide event planning support to include on-site and off-site technically oriented meetings, programmatic reviews, working groups, panels, and boards

  • Anticipate customer needs and act proactively to make it happen

  • Provide innovative thinking and process improvement identification and implementation

  • Interface with program and project management

  • Identify areas for improved program and project efficiency and proposed solution

  • Provide database development, maintenance, and management

  • Perform other duties as required

Preferences:
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite to include Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and Microsoft Project

  • Ability to utilize meeting tools such as TEAMS, Communique, Webex, Slack, Skype, and Zoom
