How can you make an impact?
McGraw Hill, the leading provider of digital and print educational resources, is looking for a Lead UX Designer, Medical Products to join the Global Professional business unit. In this role, you will design usercentered, accessible, and impactful experiences across a suite of digital medical products that support learners in medical, osteopathic, and allied health education. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Content teams to deliver solutions that align with business objectives and improve the learning journey.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. While this position is remote, preference will be given to candidates based in the Eastern or Central Time Zone.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop UX strategies and design frameworks that align user needs with business goals.
  • Create low and highfidelity wireframes, prototypes, and polished designs to communicate concepts and iterate based on feedback.
  • Design intuitive, accessible, and seamless interactions across platforms using universal design principles and WCAG accessibility guidelines.
  • Contribute to and maintain scalable design systems to ensure consistency across products and platforms.
  • Use analytics, A/B testing, and user feedback to continuously improve and optimize design outcomes.
  • Support user research initiatives and translate insights into actionable design decisions.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams and clearly communicate design strategies to align product teams and maximize business impact.
  • Provide design expertise on programs and initiatives, helping teams address complex design challenges and drive product innovation.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor's degree in UX Design, HumanComputer Interaction, Digital Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5-7 years of UX design experience, preferably within professional or educational technology environments.
  • 3+ years of experience working with agile scrum development teams.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating usercentered design solutions, strategic thinking, and problemsolving.
  • Deep understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.2 AA) and responsive design principles.
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Axure, and Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and present design recommendations effectively.
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement abilities to manage multiple projects and deadlines, with willingness to travel up to 20% as needed.

The pay range for this position is between $74,100 - $130,000 annually. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
