We have seen great success in innovating advanced manufacturing techniques in the design and fabrication of temperature sensors, thermocouple systems, interconnect cable-harness assemblies, probes, and sensors. For over 65 years, we have successfully supplied these products to the commercial, business, military jet, rotor, and spacecraft markets.
Located in Branford, CT, we have an opportunity for a Sensors Production Supervisor.
The Production Supervisor will lead and direct the manufacturing areas of an operations business unit. The Supervisor develops and implements a strategy for manufacturing cells to ensure revenue and on-time delivery targets are hit while improving productivity. This role is designed to develop motivated individuals for growth to more senior leadership roles within the Operations organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day oversight to the manufacturing/production team, including supervision of Leads, Welders, Techs and Assemblers.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate shop floor work-flow to ensure revenue and On-Time-Delivery targets are hit.
- Maintain and report to leadership on daily/monthly production plans and build schedules.
- Implement productivity projects to reduce costs throughout the production process.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce lost time and reduce material scrap.
- In coordination with QE and ME teams, disposition non-conforming parts in a timely manner.
- Ensure cross-training to adequately deploy employee resources to various product lines.
- Interprets various reporting documents in place to ensure continuity of the operations, including but not limited to labor reporting, efficiency reporting, utilization reporting.
- Ensure operations comply with Federal, State, and local regulations.
- Ensure teams complete on-the-job and mandatory training for roles.
- Promote and champion a safe work environment.
- Participate in and lead training sessions as directed.
- Domestic and International Travel up to 10%
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods and techniques, and related tools including shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control applications.
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Must be familiar with product construction and application.
- Must have very strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to actively engage with employees, supervisors, and other managers throughout the plant.
- Must be self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and or priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
- Highly proficient with Excel, Word and other MS Office programs
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain good working relationships
- Demonstrated ability to implement actions and deliver results
- Must have strong written and verbal skills.

- The key performance indicators for this role include, but are not limited to
- Safety: Reportable injuries, near-misses
- Quality: Non-conformances, scrap and rework cost
- Delivery: On time delivery percentage
- Cost: Productivity, labor efficiency
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university required.
- At least 3 years of progressive manufacturing experience and responsibilities.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or lead role preferred.
- Demonstrated effective project management.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift at least 15 lbs.
- Sitting, standing, reaching, bending, and moving.
- Must be able to walk on concrete floors and in environments where dust and other hazardous materials exist.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Manufacturing environment.
- Some exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
