Mechanical Maintenance Technician

We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. Maintain steam, water and chemical process equipment for an Industrial Utilities plant.

• Installation and/or modification of processing equipment as well as the repair and troubleshooting of auxiliary equipment associated with all processing equipment and other facility equipment.

• Assist in promoting safety and organization in the maintenance dept.

• Continues review and updating of Work Instructions Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.

• Recommend preventative maintenance intervals based on repair data using Maximo.

• Supports the success of the Preventative Maintenance Program and the Monitoring and Measuring Devices Program.

• Identifies opportunities for improvement by observing mechanical devices in operation.

• Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.

• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

• Recommend spare parts inventory levels.

• Ideally, you bring the skills to perform component rebuilds and calibrations.

• Understand and follow the process flow within processing equipment.

• Understand and perform valid leak checks Follow all work instructions and safety protocol.

• Organize and sort information using available computer software.

• Engage in and grow through all assigned training.

• Contribute to the community of the site's emergency response (ER), safety policies and follow local, state and federal environmental regulations

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Basic computer proficiency for data entry and work order management.

• Fitness for duty, including but not limited to: ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders.

• Ability to work in non-conditioned environment for extended periods.

• Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.

• Small crane operations, certifications preferred.

• Strong Mechanical skills, certifications preferred.

• Millwright experience is a plus.

• Maintenance background is desirable.
