Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Commercial Credit Administrative Assistant provides administrative support for the Commercial Credit team, assisting in processes such as documentation, data inputs, due diligence, closing and monitoring of commercial loans. The incumbent is responsible for assisting in commercial loan applications, processing loan payments, advances on lines of credit, updating information, reporting and exceptional client service.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Support the Commercial Credit team as a main point of contact and support for internal and external clients.
  • Analyze issues and implement effective solutions to meet the needs of clients.
  • Effectively communicate with clients and collaborate with the Commercial Credit team to support relationship management and operational goals.
  • Assist Credit Analysts in gathering due diligence documentation which may include financials, insurance, technical exceptions, and other relevant documentation.
  • Enter and manage loan data within Baker Hill.
  • Work directly with Relationship Managers and Workout Specialists in the review of loan files to ensure the necessary documentation has been obtained to move forward with loan requests and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
  • Assist in projects, data research, preparing and managing reports.
  • Plan and coordinate department initiatives and event logistics to support business objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with credit union policies and procedures, as well as applicable state and federal banking regulations.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as necessary for the continued growth and advancement of Business Banking, Commercial and the Credit Union.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to handle and respond effectively to the sensitive inquiries and complaints of clients/members with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with a focus on Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • 3+ years of administrative experience or financial industry experience
  • Understanding of financial services
