YOUR OPPORTUNITY


We have an exciting Truck Wash Supervisor opportunity. In this highly impactful role, you will plan, direct, and coordinate all truck wash responsibilities with oversight of 11 hourly staff members and 3 department team leaders. You will be responsible for implementing and coordinating processes and procedures to improve company standards ensuring that the transportation wash bays and equipment are clean, orderly, and fully inspected to meet company expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicates daily goals and work assignments effectively with employees.
  • Trains employees utilizing truck wash standard operating procedures for washing trailers.
  • Works directly with transportation supervisor to streamline and coordinate a daily wash schedule.
  • Ensures the wash and TADD (Thermal Assisted Drying and Decontamination) logs are completed accurately.
  • Inspects all washed trailers for cleanliness to ensure company quality standards have been met.
  • Familiar with and, at times, operates the TADD (Thermal Assisted Drying and Decontamination).
  • Capable of driving a semi-tractor (shag truck) to move trailers in and out of wash bays, scrape out and bakers as needed.
  • Maintains all housekeeping responsibilities for the facility which includes periodic policing of trash in and around the facility.
  • Reports all accidents and/or work-related injuries of personnel to the appropriate safety manager and complies with all company PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) guidelines.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor's degree from a four-year university or college, an associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Good critical thinking and judgement skills to reach the best possible solution to a problem.


  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people such as employees, managers, and senior management.


  • Valid driver's license and clear MVR.

  • Bilingual; English and Spanish
