PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $173,500.00-$211,900.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $135,100.00 - $250,600.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, CA, VA, NC, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, or SC. If you're located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our HQ on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.For those candidates that live outside the commute distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.

IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE

You'll play a critical leadership role in shaping how BECU manages, governs, and trusts enterprise data. As the Sr. Manager, Data Governance Projects and Delivery, you'll lead a high-performing team responsible for strengthening data quality deliverables, advancing governance maturity, and driving strategic initiatives that improve decision-making across the organization. Your leadership will directly influence how teams leverage trusted data to better serve our members and achieve business goals. This is an opportunity to build scalable governance practices, elevate operational excellence, and drive meaningful enterprise-wide impact. You'll help foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement while leading complex initiatives from strategy through execution.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Support the Data Quality Program: You'll support the delivery of BECU's enterprise Data Quality Program by implementing scalable frameworks, advancing governance maturity, and driving continuous improvement across the organization as part of prioritized data initiatives.

  • Drive Strategic Initiatives: You'll lead large-scale, cross-functional data governance initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring measurable business impact and operational excellence.

  • Lead and Develop High-Performing Teams: You'll manage and mentor a team of approximately 20 employees, creating a culture rooted in accountability, ownership, collaboration, and high standards.

  • Provide Strategic Direction: You'll translate business priorities into clear team objectives, establish measurable goals, and empower teams to deliver meaningful outcomes.

  • Coach and Influence: You'll provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities while fostering strong partnerships across stakeholder groups.

  • Improve Enterprise Data Integrity: You'll identify opportunities to strengthen data quality and governance processes, resolve root-cause issues, and implement scalable governance solutions.

  • Drive Metrics and Reporting: You'll establish and communicate meaningful KPIs, analytics, and governance reporting that demonstrate progress, effectiveness, and business value.

  • Partner Across the Enterprise: You'll collaborate closely with product managers, analytics teams, technology partners, project leadership, and business stakeholders to optimize data quality and governance outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or information systems, or equivalent work or education-related experience required

  • Minimum 7 years of experience analyzing data quality issues and delivering enterprise data management and governance solutions, including expertise in data manipulation, data cleansing, data analysis, data anomaly detection, data governance processes, and compliance management required

  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing, facilitating, and leading complex projects and enterprise-scale transformation initiatives end-to-end, with strong executive presence, stakeholder management capability, excellent project management skills, and a proven ability to drive accountability and operational rigor across teams required

  • Demonstrated experience using visual data analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio, along with strong project management and communication skills required.

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degree preferred.

  • Financial services or regulated industry experience preferred.
