We have an exciting opportunity for a Key Art Designer! As a Key Art Designer, you are responsible for visually conveying show themes into a single static image that will capture our audience's attention. You will have the opportunity to design for all Fox News Media properties including Fox News Channel, Fox Business, Fox Weather, and Fox Nation, on air and on our digital platforms. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are familiar with designing for a variety of platforms including news, entertainment, and streaming services.

**In order to be considered you must submit a link to your portfolio demonstrating a range of original designs (key art, logos, movie posters, thumbnails)**

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design striking and evocative imagery that can quickly draw viewer interest to a show or special, utilizing your own original artwork along with photography and library images.

  • Conceptualize and design visually engaging key art frames that capture the editorial and creative tone of each project. Your goal for each assignment is to create a singular iconographic image or endframe that becomes the foundation upon which a show concept or editorial campaign is built.

  • Employ a wide range of techniques and treatments based on the editorial tone of each project.

  • Iteration and versioning of creative asset toolkits for multiple platforms (living room devices, mobile, web)

  • Demonstrate strong logo design, typography, layout, editing, keying, masking, exploring many conceptual options.

  • Partner with motion designers and other team members to share assets to be used across full show packages. Depending on the assignment, you may be responsible for storyboarding and animating concepts.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 5 years of industry experience

  • Portfolio of past key art creative where you played a lead/independent creative role.

  • Demonstrated strength in typography, layout, composition, color

  • Strong collaborative skills working with creative directors, art directors, fellow designers and managers.

  • Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and clients

  • Ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills in presenting ideas

  • Good organizational skills with file management and within the graphic applications

  • Expertise in both technical and creative use of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

  • Working knowledge of After Effects for collaboration with motion designers on the team.

  • Solid understanding of show production, pitch process and how key art helps drive overall vision for programming.

  • Knowledge of current design trends, design history and techniques that will help elevate our brand

  • Digital production skills to execute project from concept to final production-ready files

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design/Communication is awesome, but not required

  • UI/UX experience

  • Knowledge of Cinema 4D, Maya and Vizrt

  • Interest in news and entertainment programming

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $44.00-48.08 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
