Senior Lab Technician - Chemical Process & Pilot Lab

Location: Trexlertown, PA

Pay: $32-$39/hour DOE

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:00 PM

We are seeking an experienced Senior Lab Technician to support chemical process development, laboratory testing, and pilot plant operations in a fast-paced research environment. This temporary role is ideal for candidates with experience in chemical laboratory operations, reactor systems, process testing, analytical instrumentation, and lab safety programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory synthesis, blending, reactor operations, and process experimentation
• Support product development, process optimization, and technology transfer projects
• Operate and maintain laboratory and pilot-scale equipment including reactors, pumps, flow controllers, and analytical systems
• Conduct sample analysis using gas chromatography, titrations, and other laboratory testing methods
• Assist with distillation, filtration, and separation processes
• Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and support maintenance activities
• Document test results, prepare reports, and maintain accurate laboratory records
• Support plant trials and collaborate with vendors, contractors, and engineering teams
• Participate in lab safety programs, hazard reviews, and chemical inventory management

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 15+ years of related experience, Associate Degree with 10+ years, or Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of relevant industry experience
• Experience with reactor systems, pilot plant operations, or chemical processing equipment
• Knowledge of analytical testing, troubleshooting, and laboratory instrumentation
• Experience with organic or polymer chemistry preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
