Project Control Engineer - Powertrain & Electrified Controls

Location: Dearborn, MI

Pay: $42.30/hour

Schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid (4 Days Onsite: Monday-Thursday)

We are seeking a Project Control Engineer to support Powertrain and Electrified Controls (PTEC) programs focused on Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), Hybrid, and Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) platforms. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in engineering project management, cross-functional collaboration, Jira, and automotive software delivery.

The Project Control Engineer will lead program timelines, software release coordination, and milestone tracking to support current and future vehicle launches.

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead Powerpack Program Management Sub Teams (PMST)
  • Manage program deliverables, milestones, launch timing, and software release schedules
  • Coordinate program activities using Jira and Agile-based project tracking systems
  • Support calibration releases, build events, and engineering change management
  • Drive quality objectives and software implementation strategies
  • Act as a key liaison between Powertrain Program Management Teams and engineering groups
  • Coordinate across software, hardware, manufacturing, service, and cross-functional teams
  • Support issue resolution, root cause analysis, and project planning activities



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Experience in engineering program management or project management
  • Strong background working with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Experience using Jira or Atlassian project management tools preferred
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and software release processes preferred
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple engineering priorities in a fast-paced environment



Preferred Experience



  • Automotive, powertrain, electrification, or software program management experience
  • Experience supporting BEV, Hybrid, or ICE vehicle programs
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
