We are looking for an experienced physical retail account manager to lead and grow Sony Music's presence at key Big Box retail partners, with a primary focus on Target and Walmart. This role sits at the intersection of artist campaign strategy, retail execution, and cross-functional collaboration - owning the full lifecycle of physical retail campaigns from solicitation through sell-through analysis. You will serve as the primary liaison between Sony's label and commercial teams and our most important retail partners, ensuring our artists' physical releases are positioned, planned, and executed at the highest level.


What you'll do:

Account & Label Management



  • Lead day-to-day communication with Target, Walmart, Alliance, and other key physical retail partners across frontline new releases and always-on catalog campaigns.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for retail partners, resolving day-to-day issues and unexpected roadblocks in a timely manner.
  • Pitch and manage physical retail campaigns end-to-end - building vendor partnerships, setting up products, executing customized retail plans, and tracking performance post-campaign.
  • Manage submission processes across Big Box retailers to secure digital ads, rebates, and incremental promotional opportunities.
  • Communicate clearly on campaign parameters and timelines to support planning across label and commercial teams.


Campaign Strategy & Execution



  • Develop and implement customized strategies and product offerings for each artist and fanbase to grow physical retail performance at relevant partners.
  • Manage exclusive solicitations and orders - including retailer-exclusive configurations and limited editions - ensuring accurate setup, timely delivery, and campaign alignment.
  • Identify new product areas and revenue opportunities, providing thought leadership on creative artist offerings that drive incremental retail business.
  • In partnership with frontline and catalog labels, support end-to-end planning workflows including key account communications, inventory forecasts, allocation tracking, and tentpole promotional activities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, release planningand supply chainteams to align inventory with sales forecasts, promotional activities, and campaign targets.
  • Coordinate with internal digital and media buying teams to amplify physical campaigns.


Inventory, Orders & Operations



  • Monitorinventory levels across Big Box partners, implementing strategies to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Liaise with the Operations team and supply chain to ensure logistics and fulfillment meet partner and label needs.
  • Develop and maintain scalable processes that optimize efficiency across all top Sony physical releases.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies, order fulfillment, and account management; implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.



Who you are:

  • You have music industry experience with at least 10 years working closely with big box retailers and accounts
  • You have strong, existing relationships with key physical partners, and an excellent understanding and knowledge of the retail business.
  • You are excellent at presenting and have a positive attitude.
  • You are highly organized, have a committed work ethic, and able to balance priorities.
