NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Technical Inspector.

The Technical Inspector is responsible for inspecting vehicles to ensure they meet all series-specific guidelines and for guiding competitors on the proper procedures for participating in race events.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the team of technical inspectors to ensure all race vehicles comply with NASCAR rules and regulations.

  • Operate one or more assigned inspection stations and perform inspections from initial check-in through post-race.

  • Support pre- and post-event operations, including the setup and teardown of inspection equipment.

  • Utilize standard technology (keyboard, mouse, Windows-based applications) proficiently.

  • Use the Mobile Inspection Application to document all inspection findings and infractions.

  • Maintain inspection equipment to prevent damage and ensure all hardware is properly stored for future events.

  • Execute responsibilities in a timely, consistent, and authoritative manner while maintaining a professional presence.

  • Provide assistance to Research & Development personnel as needed-for example, with Roamer arm operations or handling race equipment impounded for further evaluation.

  • Assist with vehicle transportation as requested.

  • Support hauler unloading and loading activities when required.

  • Help manage traffic flow, crowd control, and credential verification.

  • Understand, clearly communicate, and enforce the company's race procedures and rules.

  • Officiate race activities on pit road or other assigned areas using applicable technologies.

  • Apply pit road, practice, qualifying, and race procedures accurately, consistently, and professionally.

  • Maintain effective communication with assigned crew chiefs and/or Race Control as required.

  • Approximate travel 90%, including weekends

Required skills/experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proficient in all Company software and hardware.

  • Valid Driver License

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.

  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in alignment with the race schedule and event calendar.

  • Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to fulfilling assigned shifts and responsibilities according to the race schedule and event calendar.
