The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company's retail real estate assets, including Meijer owned or leased spaces, outlots, development projects, and in-store tenant programs. This role will work collaboratively with a team of Real Estate professionals, focused on streamlining the various portfolio income generation and leasing administration programs to support the company's strategic growth plans.

What You will be Doing:

  • Oversee lease administration for outlots, in-store & parking lot leasing, and portfolio income generation.

  • Collaborate with the Legal Real Estate team to catalogue all relevant documents, including purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, renewals, and amendments, ensuring adherence to real estate practices

  • Support store director teams as they tackle property-related challenges across the company's real estate portfolio, offering practical recommendations to ensure timely solutions

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with landlords, tenants, partners, vendors, and municipalities to ensure the successful operation and management of property related needs

  • Manage outlot properties by overseeing vendors, maintaining tenant relations, and ensuring lease compliance

  • Monitor market trends, property performance, and identify cost savings initiatives

  • Manage accounts receivable reports, respond to tenant billing inquiries or disputes, and suggest solutions for overdue balances

  • Support the Director of Portfolio Management by monitoring financial reports, developing budgets, forecasting, and analyzing variances to maintain accuracy and meet revenue targets

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5-10 years of experience in management of diverse real estate portfolio, including asset and/or property management

  • Proven experience in lease administration and rent collections

  • Ability to convey complex information with clarity for understanding from peers up through senior leadership
