Here's what we're looking for.



  • AWS Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) certification required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding and welding inspection within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, and other relevant codes
  • Experience with stainless steel and high-performance alloys commonly used in cooling system fabrication
  • Familiarity with pressure vessel, piping, or HVAC component manufacturing preferred
  • Proficient in blueprint reading, GD&T, and weld symbol interpretation
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital inspection/reporting tools
  • Ability to safely navigate a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, push, pull, and twist
  • Ability to use office, phone and computer equipment
  • Working in manufacturing or fabrication shop environments with appropriate PPE
  • Time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment


Responsibilities



  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of welded joints to ensure compliance with AWS, ASME, and company standards
  • Verify weld procedures, welder qualifications, and welding consumables are in accordance with project requirements
  • Complete training and retraining across welding levels and roles; quality and certification review
  • Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) methods as applicable (VT, PT, MT, etc.), and coordinate with third-party NDT services when required
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and weld maps to ensure product conformance
  • Document and report inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions using the company's quality management system
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve welding-related issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in weld audits, root cause analysis, and quality training programs
  • Maintain inspection equipment calibration and ensure traceability of inspection records
  • Uphold and promote the company's commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
  • Other duties as assigned
