As a Roofing Insights & Strategy Lead, you will play an important role in supporting the growth and success of the Roofing business by leading high-impact market and customer insight initiatives, while flexing into strategic projects that require deep analysis, synthesis, and structured problem-solving. You will help shape business strategies by translating research and data into clear implications, strategic options, and actionable recommendations aligned with Roofing's growth agenda.

This role calls for curiosity, analytical rigor, and strong business acumen to understand market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes. You will work closely with Strategy, Marketing, and Product teams to inform decision-making, communicate key insights, and contribute to outcomes that strengthen market position over time.

POSITION LOCATION:Toledo, Ohio, hybrid 4 days in office.

What You Will Be Doing:



  • Lead and support end-to-end qualitative and quantitative research initiatives, from framing business questions through analysis and synthesis, translating findings into clear insights, implications, and actionable recommendations.
  • Partner closely with Strategy, Marketing, Product, and Digital teams to define key questions, shape priorities, and guide growth-focused initiatives with data-driven perspectives.
  • Manage primary research efforts and external agency partners to ensure rigorous methodologies and high-quality, actionable outputs that inform decision-making.
  • Conduct market, customer, and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks that impact business performance and strategy.
  • Synthesize complex datasets and research into clear, compelling narratives and presentations that enable leadership to quickly understand key insights and strategic tradeoffs.
  • Support a range of strategic projects, including long-range planning, risk assessment, and development of executive-level presentations and communications.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to drive alignment, enable collaboration, and ensure insights are effectively integrated into business decisions.
  • Maintain research documentation and ensure adherence to data governance and best practices for managing insights across the organization.



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, with 4+ years of market research experience (client or vendor side), including hands-on ownership of qualitative and quantitative primary research.
  • Experience supporting or leading strategic projects, with a demonstrated ability to translate data, insights, and market intelligence into clear recommendations that influence business decisions.
  • Proven track record managing third-party research partners and delivering high-quality, actionable outputs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information into concise, compelling insights and presentations.
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, SAS) and survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Sawtooth).



Preferred Qualifications



  • MBA or advanced degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience leading cross-functional or enterprise-level strategic initiatives in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong project management experience, including risk identification and mitigation, ideally within manufacturing, industrial, or multi-channel environments.
  • Exposure to strategic planning processes, investment analysis, or executive-level business reviews.
