Description Job Title: Controller Location: Ft. Walton Beach, FL Employment Type: Salaried Full-time direct Industry: Aerospace Compensation: $180K - $195K plus a 10% bonus (that can double). Relo assistance available. Work Schedule: M-F, 9/80 About the Opportunity: The Controller is a business partner to the General Manager and plans and directs all aspects of the organization's financial policies, objectives and initiatives. The Controller is responsible for the attainment of short and long-term financial and operational goals and directs the development of the organization to ensure future growth. The Controller performs a variety of tasks and leads and directs the work of others and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This role is typical for sites <$100m. 3 direct reports - accounting manager, cost accountant, and accountant. The AP/AR person is on the team but this person reports to accounting manager. What You'll Do: Lead financial teams to obtain goals and meet deadlines while managing continuous improvement initiatives Supervise accounting personnel including cross training of key personnel Coordinate monthly closing with other departments and address comments and questions from the Executive Leadership team Complete risk assessments for both property and product liability Ensure Sarbanes Oxley controls and monthly certifications are up to date Support and drive CBS initiatives across the site and own Value Stream Map for the Finance group Coordinate and manage outside audits (Sales Tax, Research & Development (R&D) tax credit, State Tax, Property tax, Federal, City, internal audit) Work with internal auditors to ensure compliance Perform cash flow review, analysis, and monthly financial forecasting Perform monthly financial analysis including commentary and forecasting Provide key metrics with detailed analysis About Acara Solutions Acara is a premier recruiting and workforce solutions provider-we help companies compete for talent. Job Requirements What You'll Bring (Requirements): Bachelor's in Finance or Accounting Min 7 years of experience in government accounting environment and preferred in defense, knowledge of SOX and GAAP Min 1 year of experience within a $75M-$100M revenue site Min 1 year of experience in cost accounting standards Min 5 years of experience with Excel, pivots, v and x lookups This is an ITAR aerospace facility, U.S. Persons required. The ability to obtain a Secret clearance required.
