Here's what it takes to succeed with us.

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing is a plus
• 2 years of medical billing, Medicare, and Medicaid experience including experience with EMR and medical billing software
• Solid understanding of insurance billing (Medicare, Medicaid, private plans)
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Exceptional organization, multitasking, and teamwork abilities

What You'll Do:

• Insurance Verification:
  
  
  
  • Confirm patient coverage (Medicare, Medicaid, private plans)
  • Obtain pre-authorizations and referrals as needed
  • Maintain up-to-date patient records
  
  
  
  
• Billing & Claims Processing:
  
  
  
  • Prepare, submit, and track insurance claims
  • Ensure correct coding (CPT, ICD-10) and regulatory compliance
  • Address denied or rejected claims promptly
  • Post payments and generate patient statements
  
  
  
  
• Patient Interaction:
  
  
  
  • Collect payments (co-pays, deductibles, balances) during visits
  • Explain billing and insurance information to patients
  • Resolve billing inquiries with professionalism
  
  
  
  
• Administrative Support:
  
  
  
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records (HIPAA compliance)
  • Produce billing and collection reports
  • Assist with general office tasks
