Job Summary:
The Lucida Project is a precision medicine-like initiative that will enroll approximately 1,500 participants nationwide through remote recruitment, along with an additional 300 participants who will complete the remote components alongside an in-person visit at a local site. Enrollment will take place over a two-year period. The Research Specialist will support all aspects of the research process, including participant recruitment, screening, and scheduling, as well as data collection, processing, and analysis. A substantial portion of the role involves direct interaction with participants remotely (e.g., via phone, email, and video). This may include assisting participants with downloading and using study apps, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing step-by-step guidance for study procedures such as collecting biological samples (e.g., microbiome samples and blood spots) or recording short videos on mobile devices. For the local cohort, participants will be scheduled for in-person visits that include procedures such as blood draws, and the Research Specialist may be required to help coordinate and, when needed, oversee these on-site visits. We are seeking someone who is flexible, compassionate, comfortable working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and able to think on their feet in a dynamic research environment.
