Summary
Responsible for overseeing radiographic imaging operations, ensuring high-quality diagnostic services within a hospital setting. Collaborates with radiology teams to optimize workflow, maintain equipment, and uphold patient safety standards. Acts as a lead technologist, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to radiology staff.
Essential Functions
Perform radiographic procedures following established protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for diagnostic purposes.
-Lead and coordinate daily operations of the radiography team, providing technical guidance and oversight.
-Ensure compliance with safety standards, including radiation protection for patients, staff, and visitors.
-Assist in training, mentoring, and evaluating radiology staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and protocols.
-Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate imaging services.
-Monitor and maintain radiography equipment, coordinating repairs and preventive maintenance as needed.
-Ensure accurate patient records and documentation, including verifying patient identification and imaging requisitions.
-Develop and implement process improvemen to enhance efficiency and patient care in the radiology department.

Education
Associate's Degree Radiologic Technology required or Bachelor's Degree Radiologic Technology preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Registered Technologist [ARRT-R] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required

Experience
Experience as a radiologic technologist 3-5 years required and Experience in a lead or supervisory role 2-3 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in operating radiographic equipment and producing high-quality images.
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of radiology safety standards, including radiation protection protocols.
