We're actively seeking a talented Senior Financial Analyst II to join the Finance team in our Workforce Benefits Division. This role will be a critical partner to Sales Leadership and Finance Leadership, splitting time across sales analytics and strategic spend management / value tracking to support sound decision-making and capital allocation. This role is on-site a minimum of four days per week in our Newport Beach, CA, Omaha, NE, or Charlotte, NC offices.

As a Senior Financial Analyst II, you'll deliver advanced financial analysis and insights across sales performance and strategic investment initiatives. The position will support continuous sales forecasting, sales reporting, and next-best-action decisioning, while also owning the documentation, measurement, and value tracking of strategic spend initiatives. The role requires strong analytical skills, business partnership, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

How you will make an impact:

Sales Analytics (~50% of Working Hours)

  • Own end-to-end sales planning, including target setting, capacity assumptions, and alignment of forecast expectations with Sales leadership

  • Partner with Sales leadership to develop and maintain continuous sales forecasts using multiple forecasting methodologies, incorporating emerging trends, leading indicators, and scenario analysis.

  • Monitor sales forecast accuracy, diagnose variances, and continuously refine models and inputs.

  • Produce regular sales reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadence, supporting the standard sales reporting cycle and ad hoc analytic requests.

  • Support next-best-action decisioning by analyzing sales performance, pipeline dynamics, and productivity metrics and translating insights into clear recommendations.

Strategic Spend Management (~50% of Working Hours)

  • Document, track, and monitor strategic spend initiatives across technology and capability investments, aligned to agreed delivery roadmaps and business objectives.

  • Design and maintain tooling (e.g., dashboards and reporting) to track spend, benefits realization, and efficiency gains by initiative and functional area.

  • Perform activity-based costing to quantify cost drivers, efficiency improvements, and return on incremental investment.

  • Assess value realization relative to spend to inform decisions on whether to accelerate, maintain, or discontinue investment.

  • Partner with Finance, Sales, Technology, and Operations leadership to ensure alignment on assumptions, methodologies, and outcomes.

  • Communicate findings clearly and concisely to leadership, highlighting trends, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.

The experience you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience for Senior Financial Analyst I; 8+ years for Senior Financial Analyst II.

  • Strong experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and business partnering.

  • Demonstrated experience working with sales data, performance metrics, and forecasting models.

  • Experience with expense management, investment tracking, or value realization analysis.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong skills in PowerPoint.

  • Ability to translate complex analysis into clear, decision-ready insights for senior leaders.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and comfort operating in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$124,830.00 - $152,570.00
