  • Accountable for the success of assigned projects (within budget, on schedule and meeting customer expectations)

  • Interact with stakeholders to understand the business needs, communicate project status and develop relationships to ensure satisfaction while minimizing project risk

  • Develop project plans, risk mitigation plans, tasks, budget, deliverables, dependencies and resource requirements to ensure on time delivery

  • Oversee project deliverables, intervening when necessary to adjust priorities, move aggressively toward resolution of key delivery and customer issues, optimize for product line quality, timeliness and flexibility

  • Interact with and synchronize all key members of the project team and stakeholders

  • Work directly with Senior Management and functional managers to resolve resource and organizational conflicts

  • Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factor

Required Qualifications:

  • A BS degree in a related discipline and typically requires 6+ years of relevant experience

  • Relevant Project Management experience in new hardware/software product development, including defense, aerospace, or other domains

  • Familiarity with scheduling, tracking and risk management techniques and tools

  • Microsoft Project or similar project management software experience

  • Knowledgeable in all phases of the product development life cycle from requirements through design, implementation and integration, and manufacturing release

  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements across an organization

  • An active DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • Exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

  • Strong team building, interpersonal and personnel development skills

  • Comfortable working among ambiguity and a changing and growing environment

  • Proactive and taking initiative

  • Atlassian Jira and Confluence a plus experience

  • System and subsystem integration a plus
