Job Description

The Strategic Account Manager develops and executes the commercial strategy for key strategic accounts critical to Rockwell Automation's growth. You will drive profitable expansion of products, solutions, and services by building executive-level relationships and delivering measurable customer value aligned to business outcomes.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, Emerging Industries, you will lead collaboration across global sales, product groups, and support teams to ensure consistent execution and maximize account growth worldwide.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead Account Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to drive growth across strategic accounts
  • Build Executive Relationships: Establish trusted partnerships with senior customer stakeholders
  • Drive Growth: Identify, qualify, and close high-value opportunities across products, solutions, and services
  • Collaborate Globally: Align with sales teams, product groups, and regions to deliver consistent execution
  • Own Pipeline & Pursuits: Lead complex deals, prioritize opportunities, and deploy resources effectively
  • Influence Across Teams: Drive alignment and results within a global, matrixed organization
  • Plan & Communicate: Deliver annual account plans and ongoing progress updates
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • A valid drivers license.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Typically 5+ years of experience selling control and/or information solutions within the automation or process control industries (or closely related fields)
  • Ability and willingness to travel globally as required
  • Global sales experience preferred
  • Applied experience selling or supporting control/information solutions within target industries, or relevant background in production/process engineering, manufacturing operations, or similar environments
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and sell at senior management and executive levels, articulating value with quantifiable results and economic impact
