Answer your calling. Care for others. Grow with purpose.

At Mercy, nursing is more than a profession-it's a calling. Our mission to bring healing and hope to those we serve is at the heart of everything we do. Within our perioperative services team, caregivers have the unique opportunity to care for patients during some of their most vulnerable and meaningful moments, offering comfort, skill, and compassion every step of the way.

Across Pre-Op, the Operating Room, PACU, and RNFA roles, you'll join a supportive, faith-centered environment where teamwork is valued, work-life balance is respected, and your contributions truly matter.

A Ministry of Care Across the Surgical Journey

Our perioperative team walks alongside patients throughout their surgical experience-preparing them, advocating for them, and supporting them through recovery. Each role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a difference:

Preoperative (Pre-Op) Nursing
Be a calming, reassuring presence as patients prepare for surgery. In this role, you'll help ease fears, provide education, and ensure each person is physically and emotionally ready for their procedure. Your compassion and attention to detail set the tone for a positive surgical experience.

Operating Room (OR) Circulator
Serve as the patient's advocate in the operating room-coordinating care, maintaining a safe and organized environment, and supporting the surgical team with focus and precision. Your presence helps ensure each procedure is carried out with excellence and respect for the individual behind every case.

Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)
Work closely alongside surgeons, using your advanced skills to directly support procedures and deliver exceptional patient care. This role offers a deeper level of connection to both the team and the impact you make, combining clinical expertise with purpose-driven practice.

Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Care for patients as they emerge from anesthesia-one of the most critical and vulnerable stages of their journey. Your vigilance, critical thinking, and compassionate presence help ensure safe recovery while offering reassurance to both patients and their families.
