Distributed Systems Software Engineer, Cell Manufacturing

• Produce robust software to support global manufacturing and qualification across multiple factories.Architecting scalable software systems and authortheirdocumentation
• Develop serviceswithintheCell Manufacturing organization such asimplementingconcurrent systems,cell cycling(charging/discharging),defect detectionalgorithms,andhigh-speeddata management
• Shiphighlyreliablecodethat isstructured, documented, maintainable,and reusable.Interface equipment with Tesla production databases
• Create new features and modifications as thequalification andmanufacturing process matures
• Work with firmware and integration engineers to implement, test, debug, and calibrate your features in our production line and research labs
• Contribute toand participate insoftware testing and continuous deployment processes
• Hands-on with hardware bring-up and prototyping

• Degree inComputerEngineering, Mechatronics,ElectricalEngineering, or equivalent experience
• Experiencein system-level languages such as Golang(preferred),Rust,Python,C/C++
• Experiencewriting software for embedded Linux systemsandsoftware/kernel updates
• ExperienceinDevOps tools such asDocker,Kubernetes,Kafka,Ansible,Prometheus, GitHub,scripting, CI/CDandSplunk
• Robust understanding ofsoftwarefundamentals including software design, algorithms, basic data structures,RTOS,code modularity, and maintainability
• Demonstrate a good understanding of testing concepts including white box and black box testing, regression testing, unit testing, and performance testing
• Familiaritywithmodern system technologies such asgRPC,GraphQL, SQL and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with hardware connection protocols such as CAN, UDS,gRPC, Modbus/UDP, TCP/IP,andOPCUA
• Excellent communication skills-can clearly communicate technical findings to various audiences,available to other team members when questions arise. Excellent attention to detail
• Remain engaged, proactive, and positive in tough circumstancesandchallenging problems.Willingness to travel to company and/or supplier locations as needed
