Location: Lone Star Pediatric Dentistry and Braces Address: 5900 W. Slaughter Lane, Suite 470C, Austin, TX 78749 Employment Status: Full-Time Hours: 38 hours per week Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM Bilingual: Preferred
Position Overview
As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping children develop healthy habits and achieve a lifetime of healthy, beautiful smiles. Key Responsibilities
Assist the pediatric dentist during dental procedures while ensuring an efficient clinical workflow.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms.
Provide compassionate care to children, helping them feel safe and comfortable during their visits.
Educate patients and families on proper oral hygiene and preventive dental care.
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with chart documentation.
Qualifications
Pediatric dental assisting experience is preferred, but experienced dental assistants looking to grow into pediatrics are encouraged to apply.
X-ray certification is required.
Nitrous Oxide (N2O), Coronal Polishing, and Pit & Fissure Sealant certifications are preferred but not required.
Don't have your Coronal Polishing or Sealant certifications? We invest in our team! Lone Star Pediatric Dentistry and Braces will provide the training and pay for the certification courses for qualified candidates who are eager to grow professionally.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

- A minimum of a high school degree or equivalent is .
- Radiography requirements according to the state regulations.
Job related experience:
- Experience working in a professional, medical, or dental environment with direct customer service is desired.
- Pediatric experience, preferred

- Must have PC skills with an ability to learn and successfully use new software programs as required. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office is preferred; as well as experience with a fax machine, copy machine, and general office equipment.
Working conditions:
