UVA Health seeks a skilled Physical Therapist to serve multiple populations in a unique role. Here at UVA Health, a Physical Therapist evaluates, plans, and implements individualized treatment programs to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent disability for patients across the lifespan. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative academic medical center environment dedicated to excellence in patient care, education, and innovation.
In this unique opportunity, the therapist will practice half time in our Bleeding Disorders Lifespan Clinic, where work will include direct patient care, evaluations, treatment plans, musculoskeletal ultrasound (training available), special testing, and participation in multidisciplinary approach to patient care. This patient population includes both pediatric and adult patients. The other half of the time will see practice in our Outpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation clinic, where work will include direct patient care, evaluation and treatment, participation in multidisciplinary clinics, individual treatment sessions, and collaboration with peers in Physical Therapy as well as Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology. Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate experience with pediatric and adult patient populations with medical and social complexity, with strong preference for at least three years of clinical experience. Continuing education and onsite training will be provided to support development in each aspect of this role.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy Experience: 6 months relevant experience Licensure: Licensed to practice in Physical Therapy in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing for prolonged periods and frequently bending/stooping/traveling. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease. The pay range for this role is $37.47 - $59.95 hourly.
