The Division of General Internal Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educators at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor. Responsibilities include having a primary care practice with a special focus on complex medical weight loss at Northwestern Medicine on the Streeterville campus. This role will serve as the medical director for Bariatric Surgery program and should have an interest in collaborating with surgeons.

This position may also engage in academic activities such as precepting medical students, precepting residents in clinic, inpatient teaching service and participating in other undergraduate medical education activities as well as the opportunity to participate in research activities and clinical trials as a clinical expert or co-investigator. Involvement in academic activities will range based upon prior teaching experience.

Qualified candidates will be board-certified/board-eligible in Internal Medicine and be Obesity board certified.

The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.

The expected base pay range for this position is $240,000 - $270,000.

The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
