Description Nursing/Clinical Support This program is a collaborative effort between MaineHealth and Southern Maine Community College (SMCC). This program will begin on July 20th, with classes held at SMCC's Brunswick Campus. The Medical Assistant Apprenticeship with MaineHealth, in partnership with Southern Maine Community College - Brunswick Campus - is now accepting applications! This 9- month program starts July 20th and is a mix of classroom and clinical training. *One 8-hour classroom day per week at SMCC's Brunswick campus (class day is Friday). *24 hrs. per week of on-the-job training in one of our ambulatory physician practices. *Compensation for on-the-job training (24 hrs), class time (8 hrs) and independent study (8 hours), totaling full-time (40) hours at $18.36/hour. Candidates who are selected for the program will receive full financial support for schooling, including textbooks and other materials. Students have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in a variety of settings and specialties! Bus/Metro transportation provided to Brunswick campus if needed.
