NSQIP Surgical Clinical Reviewer (SCR)

Full-Time, Days

Job Description:

• Provides coordination and analysis of the NSQIP surgical database for outcomes reporting and initiatesperformance improvement through collaboration with the surgery pathway.
• Demonstrates knowledge of NSQIP database and maintains compliance.
• Utilizes NSQIP benchmarks, research, and current literature to display outcomes and lead hospital efforts toimplement best practices.
• Communicates all variances from benchmark to the Surgeon Champion, Executive Director of High
  Reliability/Outcomes, other physician chairs, and the surgery pathway as indicated.
• With the Surgeon Champion identifies and implements plans to begin quality improvement activities for thesurgery program.
• Establishes and maintains liaisons within the hospital, physician offices, industry and governmental agencies.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing
• KY Registered Nurse License or Work Permit
• 5 years of related experience
• Ability to retrieve patient information from various clinical record systems.

Preferred Requirements:

• Performance improvement and training in LEAN principles.
