About the
Play With Me
Program
Using philanthropic funding,
CCF has enhanced Play With Me by intentionally infusing language development, emergent literacy, and shared book reading into guided play-based sessions. Weekly language-focused lessons and caregiver coaching strategies support parents in embedding evidence-based language activities into daily routines.
While these enhancements promote early language development broadly, children with identified language delays or disorders require more intensive intervention. This position was created to meet that need by developing and leading a specialized Play With Me-based language intervention for bilingual children, reducing delays between identification and access to care.
Children are identified through CCF's Play With Me and Grow With Me developmental screening programs, which together screen hundreds of children annually and identify well over 100 children per year in need of language intervention.
