| Job Summary |
Member of a crew responsible for office moves, event setup/tear down, office reconfiguration, equipment moves, and hauling surplus to warehouse. Perform work orders and observe all safety procedures, including utilization of proper safety equipment and keeping training up to date. Maintains a flexible work schedule including occasional nights and weekends. Must be able to lift 50+ pounds. |
| Minimum Education and Experience |
High School diploma or
GED. Six months of related experience is acceptable in lieu of a High School Diploma or
GED.
OSHA 10-Hour Training or ability to acquire within 6 months of employment. Must be able to complete in-house mover training within 3 months of employment, and in-house custodial training within 6 months of employment. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. |

To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position. |
| Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
- Perform work orders to ensure all event set-ups and moves are accomplished as requested. Includes small events scheduled on a regular basis, annual events such as graduations, and new building openings plus follow-up moves.
- Pick-up surplus furniture and equipment as requested and deliver to warehouse.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding schedules and any special instructions.
- Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies for moving heavy items as needed.
- Keep all trucks and moving equipment in functional and safe operating status. Keep tables and chairs repaired and clean. Other duties as assigned.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Driver's License and an acceptable driver rating as established in Policy: UTS157 Section 2.5.4.

Work Notice: Work will be performed on site and in-person. May be required to report to on-site work location during campus closure.
