Manufacturing Manager - Advanced Glass Fabrication Float Line

Build the future of U.S. advanced glass fabrication manufacturing.

We are preparing to launch an advanced glass fabrication operation in Corsicana, Texas, supporting the continued growth of domestic manufacturing. The Manufacturing Manager - Advanced Glass Fabrication Float Line is a critical leadership role responsible for establishing, stabilizing, and scaling operations on a high volume, continuous manufacturing line.

This role is ideal for a hands on manufacturing leader who thrives in complex, high temperature, 24/7 environments and is motivated by building strong systems, disciplined execution, and high performing teams.

What You Will Do

Lead Fabrication Line Operations

  • Own day to day operations of a 24/7 advanced glass fabrication manufacturing line
  • Deliver results across throughput, yield, scrap, OEE, safety, quality, and on time delivery
  • Develop and execute production plans aligned with customer demand and business priorities
  • Ensure strong shift to shift communication and operational transparency
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of technical professionals, supporting the execution of a 24/7 operations team

Drive Process Control & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead, sustain, and coach Statistical Process Control (SPC) across critical process parameters
  • Lead structured problem solving using DMAIC, 8D, FMEA, and root cause analysis
  • Improve process capability (Cp/Cpk), reduce variation, and stabilize line performance
  • Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives focused on yield improvement and scrap reduction

Own Quality Performance

  • Ensure consistent compliance with product specifications including: Dimensional accuracy / Hole placement / Stress, distortion, and optical requirements
  • Partner closely with Quality and Engineering to develop control plans and preventive systems
  • Ensure traceability, documentation, and audit readiness across the process

Improve Throughput & Equipment Effectiveness

  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks through line balancing and data driven analysis
  • Improve OEE through downtime reduction and preventive maintenance coordination
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and automation
  • Partner closely with Production, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to resolve issues quickly

Build & Lead High Performance Teams

  • Build, coach, and develop supervisors and production teams in a 24/7 environment
  • Set clear expectations and hold leaders accountable for results
  • Develop internal capability in SPC, continuous improvement, and operational discipline
  • Foster a culture of ownership, urgency, and data based decision making

Champion Safety & Compliance

  • Lead a strong safety culture in a high temperature, heavy equipment manufacturing environment
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations
  • Proactively identify hazards and implement effective mitigation strategies
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 18-24 months, this leader will:
  • Involvement in development and management of fabrication operations and establish consistent, predictable performance
  • Implement robust SPC systems and process capability standards
  • Deliver measurable improvements in yield, scrap, and equipment effectiveness
  • Develop a capable supervisory team that can sustain results
  • Establish a strong safety culture and operational discipline across all shifts

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Manufacturing leadership experience in a high volume continuous industrial manufacturing environment or highly automated process environment
  • Proven success improving yield, throughput, and OEE
  • Experience leading shift supervisors and technical engineering capabilities in a manufacturing operation
  • Ability to translate data into clear priorities and action

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in glass manufacturing, automated manufacturing lines, or other continuous processes.
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
  • Understanding of lean concepts to help drive the team, statistical analysis and a structured to problem solving, leading RCAs and guiding decision making
  • Manufacturing leadership experience building high performing operations teams.
